"Three times I begged the Lord to make this suffering go away. But he replied, 'My kindness is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak.'" - 2 Corinthians 12:8-9

A thought from yesterday's sermon to begin your week.

Our guest speaker this Sunday is Chris Harris, who will be preaching from Luke 16:1-13, on the parable of the Unjust Steward.
An introduction to Chris Harris
Born in England, he came to New Zealand when he left school, eventually training and being employed as a social worker. After his first wife died he spent some years on the DPB raising our son, then remarried and re-trained to become an Anglican priest. He spent the next 10 years working in the conventional parish ministry of the Anglican Church, but since 2001 have been working as a Ministry Enabler – training and resourcing the many small Anglican congregations which are not led by a vicar, but instead operate under a structure called ‘Local Shared Ministry’. The Anglican congregation here at Te Atatu is one of those churches.
